To unlock a deeper understanding of your child, New Leaf Psychotherapy now offers psychological testing for children and adolescents. Psychological testing can provide valuable insights into your child’s cognitive abilities, emotional functioning, and behavioral patterns. Assessed together, these assessments help identify strengths, address challenges, and guide development of personalized treatment plans.
Our test battery includes an IQ test which assesses a child’s cognitive functioning on 5 domains of intelligence and provides a full scale intelligence quotient (FSIQ), as well as various rating scales that will be completed by every person in the child’s life (e.g. self, parent, teacher) and will assess for behavioral problems associated with depression, anxiety, anger, developmental struggles, and various personality characteristics. All scores are then converted to scaled scores that provide insight to a child’s functioning, as compared to a population of same-aged peers. A full written psychological report will be provided.
Presently, appointment slots are open for Monday mornings at the Doylestown location. Most major insurances are accepted for testing. We also accept a flat rate for private pay assessments.
